Most cancer policies pay out in one lump sum. But some may continue to pay for different costs. Depending on how the policy is written. For example a policy may cover your hospital stay, medicine, surgery, doctor visits, and chemotherapy.
Although the premiums are more expensive sometime the peace of mind is better. This way you know that you family is being taken care of as well.
